"As governments across the world are developing national AI strategies with specific recommendations about how to leverage new technologies, work has begun at all levels to decipher how these recommendations will be interpreted and implemented. At EU level, the Commission is set to release a suite of ethical guidelines in February to shape the evolution and adoption of AI technology in Europe.

Taking place on March 18-19 2019, POLITICO AI Summit is returning to Brussels and will gather global leaders to discuss issues at the intersection of innovation and governance. The event will be the launching point for solutions-driven conversations between policymakers, scientists, innovators, industry representatives, startups and academics.

Since the launch of our inaugural AI Summit in March 2018, POLITICO has advanced the conversation about governance of new technologies both in Europe and the US through an AI & Governance newsletter, a series of stand-alone POLITICO AI roundtables in London, Paris and Berlin and an American edition in Washington, DC.
